With so many distractions out there, books can fall by the wayside.
Amazon Books wanted to rekindle reader’s love of reading by reminding them of the power which words hold over our imaginations.
As a couple of book worms, we knew how expressionless reading looks on the outside and wanted to show just how much was happening on the inside. What ensued was a collaboration of sooo many incredible and talented artists that it’d be, not impossible, but very laborious, to name them all.

It occurred to us that whilst we often discussed books online, there wasn’t an emoji designed for readers. Up until now, all that’s existed is this:

Which just isn’t good enough... so, we set out to create the first reading emoji, complete with all its iterations of reading feelings. And with it, a whole pack of book related stickers and gifs so that readers could express ‘that reading feeling’ online.
Now we can obnoxiously use our own emojis… and so can you by downloading them here.
We’re now in the process of getting them officially recognised by Unicode, so watch this space... in the keyboard… of your phone.
